Edwardian Conservatory Installation, Gwent

After a discussion with our Leekes team, this Gwent homeowner opted to get a new Edwardian Conservatory with a Tiled Conservatory Roof installed at their south-east Wales home. Contact our team today to find out how we can extend the horizons of your home with our double glazing range.

Space to Enjoy Throughout the Year

With the addition of an Edwardian Conservatory, Gwent homeowner Catheryn Whitfield now has a space she can enjoy throughout the year, even in the coldest of winters.

Her old conservatory and conservatory roof were in desperate need of some tender loving care. Instead of refurbishment, we’ve given this homeowner a space that boasts all the qualities of modern materials that will give them a long-lasting space that they can enjoy.

Classical Look

The mix of uPVC and the dwarf wall adds some character to this Gwent home, giving them a timeless aesthetic. Mrs Whitfield will be able to enjoy the beauty of her garden throughout the year, and when it gets to the cold winter months, she can enjoy it from inside her extension.

The rectangular base of the Edwardian conservatory makes it easy for this south-east Wales homeowner to position their furniture, with floor space maximised. The customisable design of the uPVC profile meant Mrs Whitfield could choose a colour that fits her home, opting for Anthracite Grey.

Blending into the Existing Architecture

The Tiled Conservatory Roof we have opted for has maintained the character of the Edwardian Conservatory. This roofing system is one of the most advanced on the market, overcoming the issues of the conservatory being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. The vaulted plastered ceiling has given a feeling of more space in this extension and looks like part of the original Gwent home.

As Mrs Whitfield comments in her testimonial below, she can happily enjoy her conservatory whatever the season, even during heavy rainfall. The tiled system, unlike polycarbonate, does not echo and make loud noises when it does rain. This homeowner has opted for Carbon Grey, but could have chosen Harvest Brown or Terra Brick.

Leekes' Advice Provided a Better Outcome

When Mrs Whitfield originally approached Leekes, she had a rough idea on what she wanted. However, the professional advice of the Leekes team saw the customer opt for a better solution that fits in with her wishes better. She was so pleased; she left the following review:

“Originally we were looking to replace our old conservatory with a solid roofed extension, however after speaking to Leekes we opted for a new conservatory with a solid roof system which enabled us to keep our current dwarf wall, and not affect our patio area, plus no building regulations were needed.

“I am very pleased with the end result and my new room can be utilised on both hot and cold days, with no compromise, and the new roof also means noise-free rainfall.”
