Why Choose Leekes?

Founded 120 years ago, Leekes is a family owned company serving customers across South Wales and the South West.

Leekes home department stores are fully equipped with some of the largest conservatory and window studios in the UK and are located in Llantrisant, Cross Hands and Melksham. We also have conservatory and window studios in Wyevale Garden Centres located in Hereford, Swindon and Thornbury.

Our studios also offer an ideal opportunity to see our finished displays, full size and fully furnished – allowing you to step inside before purchasing. We understand that any home improvement purchase is a substantial lifetime investment and this is reflected in how we approach each project and deal with our customers.

Our trained teams of surveyors will take care of planning permission and building regulations approvals when relevant to your project. Our expert fitters and workmen are trained to cause the least amount of disruption possible during the installation as we realise any build or improvement can be a stressful time in the home. Our aim is to complete your project to the highest quality, and as professionally as possible in the time frame agreed.

Home Experts for 120 Years

In recent years we have built on the success and loyalty of our long standing business in the South Wales and South West. With over 120 years of trading history we bring a wealth of experience and customer service values to each job we undertake, and our principals have remained the same. Unlike many of our competitors, our stores and studios operate extended opening hours, enabling you to visit us throughout every stage of your project, with our friendly staff on hand to help, at any time.

The Wider Leekes Group

The Leekes Retail and Leisure Group also includes the award winning Vale Resort - a four star hotel with two championship golf courses, a luxury spa, a health and racquets club and several restaurants located west of Cardiff. In addition, the Group owns the adjacent Hensol Castle, a 17th Century listed building which is currently open for conferences, events and weddings.

We have lived in the same semi-detached house for 50 years.  The rear of the house faces north onto a decent garden, but to enjoy the garden we and our guests have had to go through the kitchen, out at the side of the house and along a passage.  Apart from a few slabs, a sloping lawn came right up to the house.

Last summer we spent a most enjoyable day in a north-facing conservatory recently built at the home of some friends in Coventry.  They convinced us that we too should build a conservatory to gain freedom of access to the garden, and they recommended us to Leekes.  We were visited by Freya who invited us to the showroom in Coventry, where we finalised the design.  There was only space for a small conservatory (2.4 by 3.8 m) and we had to insert a sliding glass door into it from the dining room.  We insisted on wide opening doors from the conservatory to the garden, and another contractor (Waterside Landscapes) built us a beautiful new patio outside.

It really achieved our aim of opening up contact with our garden and we greatly enjoy sitting there and saying “Why did we not do this years ago?”

We were very impressed by the design and quality of the structure and particularly commend Mark who dug tirelessly into heavy wet clay to create a precision base, and Ben who erected the structure.  Both were perfectionists, and both patiently coped with problems outside their or Leekes control.

We strongly recommend anyone with a north-facing garden not to delay.  Visit Leekes showroom in Coventry and get them to build a conservatory.  Their quality, service and value for money cannot be beaten.
